The American OTT streaming service platform, Peacock reported an increase in its monthly subscriptions, this is the first time that the company operated by the NBC Universal Television and Streaming division has raised prices.
In this sense, Peacock explained to its users that the premium subscription will increase from $4.99 dollars to $5.99 dollars per month, and the premium plus subscription will go up from $9.99 dollars to $11.99 dollars per month this membership mostly does not broadcast ads.
As for the annual subscription, it will cost $59.99 dollars with the new increase, that is, it will be $10 dollars more and for the highest plan, it will go up $20 dollars, leaving it at $119.99 Dollars. Users have already been notified of these rate changes via email.
Peacock also announced that recent subscribers will get an additional month off their prices. above will then be increased in the billing plan. This platform has 80,000 hours of content and broadcasts approximately 5,000 hours of live sports.
For the month of April, a subscriber base of close to 22 million users was calculated, however, in recent months their losses have risen due to programming costs, reaching $700 million dollars.
