Delta flight crashes landing in Atlanta and leaves one person injured after blowing out a tire

A flight with around 190 passengers on board managed to land successfully at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, after tire problems in the last moments.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, once the plane was firmly on the ground, passengers evacuated through emergency slides.
Although one injury was reported, authorities did not provide details of the gender and age of the passenger, once it was verified that neither the two pilots nor the three flight attendants suffered any injuries.
Meanwhile, fire trucks and other emergency vehicles responded to the airport runway where they helped passengers evacuate safely. The plane took off from Richmond, Virginia, and was en route to Atlanta.
According to FAA registration, this Boeing 757 is 31 years old. An investigation into the plane is underway by the FAA. This is just one of several problems Delta flights have experienced lately.
According to testimony collected by News, a woman on board the flight recounted that one tire blew out and another was shredded when the plane made the hard landing, causing the plane to skid on the runway.
Delta, meanwhile, released a statement saying, “We appreciate the efforts of our flight crew and first responders at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in managing the safe landing of Flight 1437 at our hub this afternoon. We apologize to everyone for this experience; nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and crew”.
