RBD fans are excited after the announcement of their long-awaited musical reunion. The tour was received with great enthusiasm by the public, selling out tickets for the concerts in a matter of minutes. Now, new details have emerged about how the idea for the meeting came about and how it came to pass.
In an interview with People en Español, Dulce María revealed that the tour was actually planned for last year, in 2022, but that it had to be cancelled. The artist shared that the idea of the meeting had been discussed for a while, and that she took it up again in the middle of recording “Pienso en ti”, the Televisa-Univision melodrama in which she stars with David Zepeda hers.
“Suddenly, halfway [recording] the soap opera, the proposals began again to see if we were on the same time and we got together one day. I had not seen [my RBD colleagues] since 2019, then [comes] the pandemic [and my] pregnancy,” Dulce María told the magazine.
As he recounted, the reunion was very emotional and “flowed very nicely.” It was at that moment when it was decided to finalize the tour, which has had an overwhelming response from the public that has followed the band since the soap opera began where it began: Rebelde.
“We are impressed with the response of the people, we are very grateful for this madness. It seems that time has not passed, it seems that it has made it stronger,” said Dulce María.
The artist also shared that the idea of the reunion had been discussed since 2008, when the group broke up. However, they never thought it would come true. The concerts are currently being produced by Live Nation and Guillermo Rosas, and all shows are sold out.
RBD's reunion has generated great expectation and excitement among his followers, who look forward to enjoying their songs live once again at all the concerts scheduled for Mexico, the United States, Brazil, and Colombia.
