Devin Haney charged Floyd Mayweather almost on the eve of his fight against Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko and claimed that “Money” in a way ruined boxing.

Despite acknowledging Mayweather's stupendous record in which he achieved 50 undefeated victories and defeating figures of the stature of Canelo Alvarez, Conor Mcgregor, among others, Haney pointed out that now the boxers seek not to fight each other to keep records .

“Of course, Floyd made boxing great, but in a way, he also ruined boxing with the issue of unbeaten records. Mayweather said that being undefeated is everything, and now fighters don't want to fight each other, because they want to keep zero on their record,” Haney said.

Haney stated that for his part, the premise has always been to face the best and that is why he has made important changes in his career as a boxer, always focused on making the best fights happen.

“I went to another television station, to another promoter, to make a fight happen. That tells you the type of fighter I am,” she reiterated.

However, he was critical of some of his colleagues, whom he accused of only wanting to earn money and, faced with this reality, he affirmed that Canelo Alvarez is the exception since, in his opinion, he does not flee from strong combat.
