Fans of the K-pop girl group Blackpink took to social media to express concern about Jennie Kim, one of the members, after she stopped singing during her recent concert in Melbourne, Australia, only to leave the stage seconds later.
Several videos circulating on social media show the incident, in which the 27-year-old singer stops singing to choreograph one of the songs, before immediately leaving the stage and going with the security team, while her colleagues continue to perform for the audience.
YG Entertainment, which represents Blackpink, issued a statement saying that the singer is recovering from what they called a “state of disrepair” and that she will perform at the next concert of the successful world tour Born Pink: “We regret to inform you that during the performance in Melbourne on June 11 within the BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR (Born Pink) the member Jennie was unable to complete her performance due to her deteriorating state.
Jennie expressed her strong determination to continue acting to the end. However, following medical advice on the spot, we immediately took steps to ensure that she receives sufficient rest and stability. Jennie has conveyed her regret for not being able to be with the fans until the end,
