The Los Angeles Angels player was changed from the lineup at the last minute for today's game due to discomfort in his right oblique.
Shohei Ohtani had been batted second and designated for the game against the Baltimore Orioles, but minutes before the game began he was replaced by Brandon Drury after presenting discomfort to his right oblique. The right oblique injury is very common in Ohtani and is caused by his hitting mechanics. In recent years, they have tried to convince the player to change it, but he refuses.
