Selena Gomez has made many confessions in her recent documentary “My mind & me” from AppleTV +, but now she is honest with another medium to make it known that the singer Taylor Swift (whom she met more than fifteen years ago) is her only friend in Hollywood, and that they both congratulate each other on their professional achievements.
In an interview for the most recent issue of Rolling Stone magazine, Gomez delved into the subject, stating that it is not easy to find someone to trust in the world of entertainment: “I never fit in with a cool group of girls who were celebrities. My only real friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift], so I remember feeling like she didn't belong. I felt the presence of everyone around me living full lives. I had this position and I was very happy, but…was she? Do these materialistic things make me happy? I just didn't like who she was, because I didn't know who she was.”
Selena called Taylor the most artistically influential person on her, “not because she's my friend, but because she's been an artist who can transition into so many different genres and is able to do so seamlessly, and I admire that a lot. That is very rare. I love her process and admire all the work she has done. She definitely inspired me.”
One day after these statements by Selena Gomez Francia Raisa -the actress who donated a kidney to her in 2017- were made known, she wrote the word “interesting” as a comment to an Instagram post by the medium E! News that mentioned the singer's quote about Swift. According to fans of the former Disney star, Raisa later deleted her message.
