The new image will have bright colors and a large S, it is estimated that in recent years the chain has sold approximately 70 million of these famous drinks

Starting this Monday, June 12, the multinational chain of stores 7-Eleven will renew the image of its iconic frozen drink, the Slurpee, which for its new appearance will have more striking colors.

According to the brand, the new logo will now feature a large “S” at the top of the name, this would be the first redesign of the image in at least four years along with a new advertising campaign for the drink.

Currently 7-Eleven specialized in the retail sale of basic items such as food, drugstore, soft drinks, among others, sells at least three flavors of the famous drink, among which Coca-Cola, cherry and blue raspberry stand out, changing from time to time their offers.

To date it is unknown how much profit the company brings from the sale of Slurpees, a famous drink that dates back to the late 1950s; however, in recent years it is estimated that the chain has sold close to 70 million of them.

Since 1965, 7-Eleven managed to obtain the license for the machine that makes the classic shape of the drink and for that year he decided to change his name from ICEE to Slurpee, because it totally described the sound consumers made when they drank it through a straw.

That's why, every July 11 of every year, 7-Eleven gives out free little Slurpees to customers as a way to celebrate.
