Actress Aislinn Derbez, who ended her marriage to Mauricio Ochmann in 2020, opened up like never before about her single life and the lessons it has taught her over the past three years. Here's what she said!

During the most recent edition of her podcast "La magia del caos," the star of "A la mala" addressed the advantages of being single. To do so, she recounted her own experience and confessed that she has a completely different perception today.

"I used to see single people and say, 'Poor thing, how difficult, how hard,'" she declared on the digital show. “The first thing I wanted, after getting divorced, was to find a partner. I even had this thought: 'Of course I got divorced because he wasn't the love of my life, but I'm going to find him,'” she added. Guided by this belief, Aislinn Derbez got involved in a relationship that, although it gave her moments of happiness, didn't end up being what she expected: “Then I wanted to get into a relationship and it was very nice and everything, it was beautiful, feeling that someone is there for you, but that was also when it hit me and I said, 'This is not it,'” she explained. After taking the time to do some introspection, the daughter of Eugenio Derbez found the root of this need: “What scared me the most is that I had completely tied the feeling of home and protection to a partner and if I wasn't in a partner I felt unprotected, alone and homeless, that was what cost me the most,” the star explained.

This is why the actress feels more secure and happy than ever in her own company, without being conditioned by the love of someone else.

“That satisfaction of realizing that you can give yourself what you thought only a partner, a man, could give you, is one of the most incredible feelings I’ve ever felt in my life and that you can then share that with a partner,” she concluded.
